Selecting Your Wedding Photography Style Wisely
When it comes to planning your own wedding, you have to take note of a number of things starting with your wedding date, wedding venue, your wedding gown and clothes, and many more. Be sure to also consider of utmost importance the wedding photographer that you choose during this special day of your life. For a long time, couples are used to choosing wedding photographers that they think will be best during their wedding without taking into account the wedding photography style they are experts with, yet now, this is no longer the case. Despite the fact that wedding photographers have been trained to shoot certain styles of wedding photography, choosing which one is the best style and which wedding photographer you must hire to do such style can still be complicated for most couples. When you are choosing your wedding photography style, you are also looking into the various time demands that your wedding will have to keep up with.
There are basically three factors that you need to keep in mind when looking for the most suitable wedding photography style during your special day. These three things are what image style you intend to have, how many hours will you be spending with your wedding photographer during your special day, and what your personality is and how comfortable you are in front of the camera.
In the present, the styles of wedding photography that are out are just way too many. Some of the most common examples include contemporary, artistic, editorial, and vintage. What makes deciding even more confusing is when each wedding photographer will have their different ways of applying each style. Basically, you have to ask as many questions and do as much research as you can about the style and wedding photographers as you can. As the clients, you have to be able to be given the honors to check the full collection of the wedding photographs that they have taken in the past and not just between five and six all in all. The following are some wedding photography styles to take a look at with some basic details each.
Traditional (or posed) wedding photography: These wedding photographs are more of planned poses that need some time to make the wedding couple, entourage, and guests feel more comfortable.
Reportage wedding photography (wedding photojournalism): This wedding photography style is the complete opposite of the traditional style since they are more of capturing photos as they happen.
Vintage wedding photography: In order to produce vintage wedding photographs, the wedding photographer can either use old film cameras or still use their digital cameras but will just have the digital images edited to meet the vintage look and feel that the wedding couple wishes to see in their wedding photos.
